More than a restaurant, Frida is a story of perseverance, family, and the power of following your dreams. Founded by Sandra "Sandy" Sanchez, Frida was built from years of hard work after immigrating to the United States from Colombia at just 19 years old. Inspired by her husband's Mexican heritage and the resilience of artist Frida Kahlo, Sandy created a restaurant where authentic Mexican cuisine, hospitality, and community come together around one table. Today, Chef Israel Sanchez carries that vision forward in the kitchen, honoring traditional Mexican flavors while crafting dishes that feel both vibrant and deeply rooted in culture.

Chef Ethan Czarneski brings a thoughtful, ingredient-driven approach to modern Mexican cuisine as Executive Chef of Sayulita in Essex, Connecticut. Before joining Sayulita, Ethan honed his craft at Present Company in Tariffville, where he developed a reputation for creative, seasonally inspired cooking and refined technique. At Sayulita, he combines authentic Mexican flavors with contemporary culinary influences, creating vibrant dishes that celebrate fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and innovative presentations. His menus reflect a passion for balancing tradition with creativity, offering guests an elevated dining experience that is both approachable and memorable.

Upon graduating from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., Sheehan joined Max Downtown, where he sharpened his culinary skills under the tutelage of executive chef Hunter Morton. In 2013, Sheehan received critical acclaim when Max Downtown was named both “Best American Restaurant” by Connecticut Magazine’s Expert Picks, and “Upscale Restaurant of the Year” by the Connecticut Restaurant Association. Sheehan has made two appearances at the prestigious James Beard House, and his seasonally inspired cooking has garnered high praise from fellow chefs and the top brass for his meticulously executed dishes.

Every drop of La Pulga embodies the shared spirit of community and togetherness they've found in the sister states of Jalisco, San Luis Potosi, Chihuahua and their home in Fort Worth.
Three Fort Worth, Texas, entrepreneurs had the vision to develop a comprehensive portfolio of high-quality Mexican Spirits. Sarah Castillo; a celebrated restauranteur behind Taco Heads, Tinies Mexican Cuisine and Sidesaddle Saloon, Andrew De La Torre; a visionary club owner and operator of the Northside Fort Worth open-air market, La Pulga, and Stephen Slaughter; a local entrepreneur.
Together they set out to develop authentic, approachable, and affordable premium spirits with only the soul of the land and heart of the spirit as the ingredients. La Pulga was inspired by the vibrancy of the open-air market on the Northside of Fort Worth Texas. It has been a gathering place and part of the community since the 1940’s.

Around 2004, Ilegal's founder John Rexer began bringing mezcal down from Oaxaca to Antigua to supply his bar, Café No Sé. The mezcal became popular very quickly. At the time, he was bringing down unbranded mezcal from a variety of villages in Oaxaca that included: Tlacolula, San Lorenzo, Sola De Vega, Santa Catarina Minas, Hierve el Agua, Santiago Matatlan and a few others.
In 2006, John created the brand Ilegal, originally just to supply his bar in Guatemala. On the back of each bottle of Ilegal you will find it says "Originally produced for: Café No Sé, Mezcal Bar."

In 1931, Al and Cornelia Haring moved from the bustle of New York City to the charming shores of Noank to open Haring’s Marine.
Since then, the property has been a bait & tackle shop, fuel dock, small boat rental, lobster pound and beginning in 2011, a restaurant.

Nuestra Soledad is comprised of six distinct mezcals from six different producers located in various regions of Oaxaca, intended to highlight elements of terroir in mezcal production. Nuestra Soledad is a part of the Casa Cortés portfolio of mezcal brands. The Cortés family represents six generations of experience in mezcal production, dating back to 1840. Self-owned and operated, Casa Cortés produces mezcal in their family palenque in Santiago Matatlán, but also works with an exclusive network of highly skilled mezcaleros in regions around Oaxaca.
